⚠️ The Honest Truth (Read This First)

Historically, most differences between ZLINE ranges were cosmetic and configuration-based. That remains true for Legacy and Classic — where performance, burners, and warranties are broadly comparable.

However, the newer Paramount and Marino platforms introduce meaningful ergonomic and cooktop refinements — including DuoPro™ burners on Paramount, Vista edge-to-edge glass and auto-reignition burners on Marino, and modernized hardware across both — that go beyond styling.

Core cooking performance remains broadly comparable across all four families. The real differences are in design language, burner tier, fuel type, and premium finishes. Autograph Edition (the "Z" trim) layers on top of any family. One note: the Paramount-exclusive Designer Collection is Autograph-finished and includes full Italian brass burners as standard, like every Autograph range. Designer DuoPro models add the dual-ring DuoPro™ technology on top. Autograph is the finish; DuoPro is the burner tier; they are independent.

Reading the Model Code

Add Z for Autograph Edition (e.g., CDRZ). Add P for DuoPro™ — available on Classic, Paramount, and Marino only (e.g., PCDR, PSDR, PMDR). Add -BR for Italian brass burners (e.g., CDR-BR-36).

🔑 The key insight: Legacy = traditional professional. Classic = modern streamlined. Paramount = upgraded luxury-modern with DuoPro™ available. Marino = contemporary architectural with Vista glass and LED controls. Autograph Edition layers on top of any of them — and it includes Italian brass burners as standard.

1. The Legacy Series (RA / RG)

ZLINE's foundational range line. Traditional professional styling with the wide Landscape oven window. Available in Dual Fuel (RA) or All-Gas (RG). Standard finishes ship with Italian aluminum burners; brass is available via the -BR model code or included automatically with Autograph Edition.

Note: Legacy ranges don't include auto-reignition — a feature available on Classic, Paramount, Marino, and Autograph Edition. If auto-reignition matters to you, consider the newer design families.

2. The Classic Series (CDR / CGR)

Modern design evolution. Features the updated Horizon oven window and enhanced low-simmer control. Available in Dual Fuel (CDR) or All-Gas (CGR). Like Legacy, standard finishes ship with aluminum; brass via -BR or Autograph Edition.

3. The Select Series (HDR / HGR) Discontinued

ZLINE has discontinued the Select Series. It was a structural twin to the Classic Series — same Horizon window, distinct fuel focus — but is no longer in production.

4. The Paramount Series (SGR / SDR / PSGR / PSDR)

ZLINE's premium modern platform. Features the panoramic Horizon+ oven window and available DuoPro™ burner architecture. Available in Dual Fuel (SDR), All-Gas (SGR), DuoPro™ Dual Fuel (PSDR), DuoPro™ All-Gas (PSGR), and Induction (SINR).

Note on the letter P: ZLINE uses S as the Paramount chassis code. The P in PSDR / PSGR signals the DuoPro™ burner upgrade, not Paramount itself.

5. The Marino Series (MDR / MDRZ)

ZLINE's newest design family — and the most architecturally distinct range in the lineup. The signature angled bullnose handle, Vista edge-to-edge oven window, and illuminated LED control knobs give Marino a contemporary profile unlike anything else ZLINE makes.

What makes Marino different:

• Vista Window Design — uninterrupted, deep-tinted glass spanning the full oven door.
• Brilliant LED Knobs — precision-marked knobs that illuminate and intensify as they turn.
• Italian-Made Auto-Reignition Burners — automatic reignition for temperature control and cooktop safety.
• Dual Function Burner — Italian brass dual-ring burner, 800 BTU simmer to 20,000 BTU sear.
• Angled Bullnose Handle — comfort and durability as both visual anchor and touchpoint.
• 5.2 cu. ft. oven capacity — fits pans up to 26 in. wide.

Positioning: Marino sits alongside Paramount as ZLINE's premium modern tier — with a distinctly different design language. Paramount leans luxury-traditional-modern. Marino leans contemporary-architectural. Autograph Edition is available in select finishes.

6. Autograph Edition (The Finish Package)

Autograph is two upgrades in one: a premium finish package (Polished Gold, Champagne Bronze, Matte Black, Polished Nickel accents, and Helix handles) and Italian brass burners as standard equipment. You can have Autograph on Legacy, Classic, Paramount, or Marino — it layers on top of any family.

A note on the Designer Collection. Designer is a Paramount-exclusive sub-collection, finished in Autograph hardware with a Black Satin Stainless Steel base and dual Matte Black + Champagne Bronze accents. Like every Autograph range, Designer includes full Italian brass burners as standard equipment. Designer DuoPro™ models add dual-ring brass technology on top. There is no partial-brass Designer variant.

You'll know it's Autograph because the model number includes a Z (e.g., CDRZ, PSDRZ, MDRZ).

What most buyers don't realize: Autograph includes brass burners standard — no -BR suffix needed, no upgrade charge. That's a meaningful value component that rarely gets explained.

1. Fuel Type — Precision Baking vs. Perfect Roasting

Dual Fuel: Gas cooktop + electric oven. Because electric heat is completely dry and holds temperature precisely, this is the premier setup for bakers.

All-Gas: Both cooktop and oven run on gas. Gas combustion creates a more humid environment inside the oven cavity — ideal for keeping roasts, poultry, and meats juicy.

2. Burner Tier — Aluminum vs. Brass vs. DuoPro™

Every ZLINE range ships with Italian-made burners. What varies is the material and the design:

• Italian Aluminum — the standard tier. Excellent for everyday cooking; sealed, precise, built to the same Italian standards as brass.
• Italian Brass (-BR) — the upgrade tier. Better heat retention and durability. Standard on every Autograph range; available as an upgrade on Legacy, Classic, Paramount, and Marino via the -BR suffix or official Brass Burner Replacement Sets.
• DuoPro™ — the technology tier. Every burner is brass and dual-ring. Available on Classic, Paramount, and Marino.

Note: Standard finish = aluminum burners. Two upgrade paths to brass: choose an Autograph range (brass is standard), or order the -BR model code. That's it.

3. Steel Finish — Classic Stainless vs. DuraSnow®

Traditional Stainless Steel: Classic high-polish look. Coordinates beautifully with standard kitchen appliances.

DuraSnow® Stainless Steel: A proprietary 304-grade stainless with a warmer, directional-brushed matte finish. Fingerprint-resistant — and it can be buffed out. Accidental scratch? Use the included abrasive pad and manually remove it.
