Understanding 27,000 BTU Mini Split Systems
A 27,000 BTU mini split system is a slightly less common but highly efficient capacity point—ideal when a 24k system is just underpowered but a 36k system would be excessive. The outdoor condenser powers the entire system, distributing capacity across indoor air handlers based on room size and load.
